Renaissance Capital appoints Maxim Arefyev
as Head of Consumer Group, Investment Banking and Finance |
Moscow. April 7, 2008 -- Renaissance Capital today announced that Maxim Arefyev joined as Managing Director and Head of the Consumer Group, Investment Banking and Finance. Maxim Arefyev is one of Russia's most experienced investment bankers in the consumer sector, with more than 10 years of experience and an impressive list of deals to his credit.

Maxim Arefyev's immediate past position was Executive Director, Investment Banking at Troika Dialog, where he was responsible for the origination and execution of consumer goods transactions. Before Troika Dialog, he worked at Deutsche-UFG and ING Investment Banking.
Arefyev holds a masters and doctorate in management from Moscow International University. He also completed an intensive course in Banking and Finance at the London School of Economics (LSE).
Renaissance Capital's recent consumer deals include a number of flagship M&A transactions. These include the sale of Parliament to CEDC, PepsiCo's acquisition of the Lebedyansky juice business, the sale of 50% of Kopeika, the sale of Dixy, and the sale of Ruzskaya Confectionary Factory to Nestle. Renaissance Capital has also participated in a number of significant equity offerings in the last year, including the IPOs of M.video, Rosinter, Nutritec, Dixy, Synergy and Cherkizovo, as well as a secondary offering for Razgulyay.
