Neil Harvey has been involved in investment banking and asset management for more than 22 years.
Before joining Renaissance in February 2006, Mr. Harvey was a founding partner of Bennelong Asset Management, a USD 3 billion-plus multi-strategy hedge fund focused on the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Harvey was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse for 10 years from 1993-2003. His last role there was Head of Investment Banking, Capital Markets and Liability Derivatives for Asia (ex-Japan) and CEO of Credit Suisse HK Ltd. He built and managed Credit Suisse's fixed income and derivatives business in Asia (ex-Japan) for five years spanning the Asian crisis. He also held senior positions running businesses in the Middle East, Africa, Turkey and Latin America and was Global Head of Emerging Markets Fixed Income Distribution.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Mr. Harvey worked at Macquarie Bank in Australia from 1988 to 1993. He was responsible for FX distribution and the derivatives business, which was focused on the resources sector. He started his career in FX derivatives at First Chicago O'Connor in 1985.
He is a graduate of Exeter University in Accountancy and Economics.
