Before joining Renaissance Capital in 2005, Mr. Gurtovoy held important management positions at AeroSvit (Ukrainian airlines), including General Director (1998-2004) and Co-Chairman of the Supervisory Board (from December 2004). Prior to his work at AeroSvit, Mr. Gurtovoy led Atlas Project Management Company (Great Britain) and, from 1991 to 1997, worked for Transaero in several key positions, including Financial Director, Executive Officer and Deputy Chairman of the Board.
He graduated from the Moscow Automobile Institute in 1985 and the National Economic Institute in 1989. In 2004, he acquired his Ph.D in Economics from the Kyev National Aircraft University.
