Before taking his current position as Head of the Merchant Banking Group, Mr. Olphert served as Head of the Firm’s Investment Banking business for four years.
Prior to joining Renaissance Capital, he was Head of Investment Banking at UFG from 1998 to 2000, and Director of Corporate Finance at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Moscow and New York from 1993 to 1997. Prior to relocating to Russia in 1993, Mr. Olphert gained banking and transaction experience in PricewaterhouseCoopers Australian banking business advisory group. Mr. Olphert attended the University of Auckland and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Accounting.
