Prior to joining Renaissance Capital, Mr. Baxter worked at Merrill Lynch (1996-2003), where, in his last position, he was Managing Director and Head of the combined Energy and Power Division in Europe.
Mr. Baxter began his career at Chase Manhattan Bank, where he worked from 1987 to 1995. During his tenure, he worked on a variety of oil industry-related investment banking and financing projects.
Mr. Baxter received a first class Master’s Degree in Engineering from Imperial College, London University. He was awarded the Shell Scholarship while at Imperial and, upon graduation, was made a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce for exceptional academy performance.
